Jewel of the Seas Cruise ShipJewel of the Seas (Radiance Class) entered service in 2004. The ship is 962 feet in length, has twelve passenger decks and an impressive atrium. With a capacity over 2500, the ship has approximately 2.9 passengers per crew member.

Jewel of the Seas carries less passengers than some of Royal Caribbean's newer ships.

Royal Caribbean International has a long history dating back to the 1960s. Based in Miami, Royal Caribbean has a fleet of 22 cruise ships, including the new Allure of the Seas & Oasis of the Seas. Royal Caribbean's fleet is divided into six classes of ships based on size and when they entered service. Royal Caribbean is popular with passengers looking for a fun and active cruise vacation. Royal Caribbean is well known for introducing innovative onboard amenities, including rock climbing walls, skating rinks, and Outdoor Theaters. Newer cruise ships in Royal Caribbean’s fleet can accommodate more than 5000 passengers.

Jewel of the Seas cruises to the Caribbean, Europe, and Canada & New England in 2011. Jewel of the Seas' 12-Night Scandinavia and Russia cruises depart from Harwich, England with fantastic port stops, including Copenhagen, Denmark; Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; and Gothenburg, Sweden.

Jewel of the Seas has just over 1000 cabins onboard and approximately 55% have balconies. You can choose from an Interior, Outside, Balcony or Suite. When selecting a cabin, make sure you know which public areas are near, above and below your cabin. Everyone's tastes are different, but it's best not to be surprised when you get onboard.

  • Suites: 293 - 1001 sq. ft. and a balcony
  • Balcony: 179 - 204 sq. ft. and a balcony
  • Ocean View: 170 - 319 sq. ft. with a picture window or porthole
  • Inside: 165 sq. ft.

  • $0.65 per minute for pay as you go
  • $35 for 60 minutes = $0.58 per minute

  • $150 for 500 minutes = $0.30 per minute
  • WiFi per minute charges are the same as the Internet Cafe

Royal Caribbean International does not allow passengers to bring alcoholic beverages onboard Jewel of the Seas. Alcohol purchased in the ship's duty free or in port will be held until the end of your trip. A reminder, the legal drinking age onboard the ship is 21 years of age.

Jewel of the Seas' main entertainment venue is the Coral Theater. Typically, there are two seatings each evening for the theatrical, musical or comedic productions. The Coral Theater is also used for theme parties and special events during your cruise.

Jewel of the Seas' Casino Royale is open while the ship is "At Sea." You will find popular table games, including Black Jack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Let It Ride, Texas Hold'em, Three Card Poker and Roulette. You will also find lots of Slot Machines and Video Poker. Just a reminder, you must be 21 years of age to enter the casino.

Typically, there will be Black Jack, Texas Hold'em and Slot tournaments organized by the casino staff.

Jewel of the Seas has a good Fitness Center onboard. You can exercise on elliptical trainers, treadmills, stair steppers and stationary bikes. There are also weight training machines and free-weights available. They offer more than ten different classes, including aerobics, step and yoga.

There is a certified trainer on duty if you need help or want a personalized fitness program and there are men's & women's saunas where you can relax after your workout.
