Celebrity Equinox (Solstice Class) will debut in August of 2009. The ship will be more than 1000 feet in length, with 13 decks and an impressive atrium. With a capacity of 2850 and a crew of 1000, Celebrity Equinox will have a passenger to crew ratio of 2.85, which is slightly higher than most of the Celebrity fleet.

Celebrity Equinox, which is being built at the Meyer-Werft shipyard in Germany is scheduled to sail in Europe for three months after launching in August of 2009. After a trans-Atlantic voyage in November, Celebrity Equinox will cruise the Caribbean during the Winter. While in North America, the ship will be based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Celebrity Cruises allows guests to bring onboard two bottles (750 ml) of wine per cabin (not per person) at the beginning of the cruise. A corkage fee of $25 per bottle will be applied if you bring your own wine to the dining rooms.

Guests are not permitted to bring any other alcoholic beverages onboard Celebrity Equinox. Alcohol purchased in the ship's duty free or in port will be held until the end of your cruise. A reminder, the legal drinking age onboard the ship is 21 years of age.

Celebrity Equinox's Fortunes Casino is located on the Promenade Deck and is open while the ship is "At Sea." You will find popular games, including Black Jack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Slot Machines and Three Card Poker.

Celebrity Equinox will feature the Sports Pool, the Family Pool and the Wet Zone area for kids on the Resort Deck. In addition, you will find four spa tubs and a Pool Bar.
