Norwegian Cruise Line offers passengers a diverse menu of shore excursions through its website, which enables passengers to search by Destination (Caribbean, Alaska, etc.) and specific Port. Shore Excursions are segmented by Activity Level (1-3), Duration and Price. Passengers tell us they like the Shore Excursions portion of NCL's website for the following reasons:

Norwegian Star has just over 1100 cabins onboard. You can choose from an Inside, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite. When selecting a cabin, make sure you know which public areas are near, above and below your cabin. Everyone's tastes are different, but it's best not to be surprised when you get onboard.

Norwegian Cruise Line does not allow passengers to bring alcoholic beverages onboard the ship. We hear from past travelers that it's not even worth trying to bring your own onboard. Alcohol purchased in Norwegian Star's duty free or in port will also be held until the end of your trip.
A reminder, the legal drinking age onboard Norwegian Star is 21 years of age.
Norwegian Star offers a wide variety of dining options onboard. From casual to elegant, we have been told that the cuisine on NCL is very good. Freestyle Cruising allows passengers to dine whenever and with whomever they want.
Norwegian Star features numerous bars & lounges. Whether you are looking for a quiet drink or a place to meet up with friends for the evening, the choices are extensive. Here are some of the most popular spots onboard the ship:
Norwegian Star's main entertainment venue is the Stardust Theater. Typically, there are two seatings for the theatrical, musical or comedic productions each evening. The Stardust Theater can accommodate approximately 1000 guests.
The Star Club Casino is open while the ship is "At Sea." You will find popular table games, including Black Jack, Craps, Let It Ride, Poker and Roulette. You will also find lots of Slot Machines and Video Poker. Just a reminder, you must be 18 years of age to enter the casino.
Norwegian Star has several pools and spa tubs onboard. Deck 12 is home to the Oasis Pool, its six spa tubs and the Splash Down Kid's Pool. There is also a nice indoor lap pool located on Deck 11. Norwegian Star's Barong Fitness Center is located on Deck 12. You can exercise on elliptical trainers, treadmills and stationary bikes. There are also weight training machines and free-weights available. They also offer a number of classes.
