Norwegian Sky entered service in 1999. From 2004 - 2008, the ship was named Pride of Aloha and has since reverted back Norwegian Sky. The ship is 853 feet in length, has ten passenger decks and an impressive atrium. With a capacity just over 2000, the ship has approximately 2.5 passengers per crew member.
Norwegian Sky has a colorful exterior and bright decor throughout the ship.

Norwegian Cruise Line offers passengers a diverse menu of shore excursions through its website, which enables passengers to search by Destination (Caribbean, Alaska, etc.) and specific Port. Shore Excursions are segmented by Activity Level (1-3), Duration and Price. Passengers tell us they like the Shore Excursions portion of NCL's website for the following reasons:

Norwegian Sky has just over 1000 cabins onboard. You can choose from an Inside, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite. When selecting a cabin, make sure you know which public areas are near, above and below your cabin. Everyone's tastes are different, but it's best not to be surprised when you get onboard.

Norwegian Cruise Line does not allow passengers to bring alcoholic beverages onboard the ship. We hear from past travelers that it's not even worth trying to bring your own onboard. Alcohol purchased in Norwegian Sky's duty free or in port will also be held until the end of your trip.
A reminder, the legal drinking age onboard Norwegian Sky is 21 years of age.
Norwegian Sky offers a wide variety of dining options onboard. From casual to elegant, we have been told that the cuisine on NCL is very good. Freestyle Cruising allows passengers to dine whenever and with whomever they want.
Norwegian Sky features numerous bars & lounges. Whether you are looking for a quiet drink or a place to meet up with friends for the evening, the choices are extensive. Here are some of the most popular spots onboard the ship:
Norwegian Sky's main entertainment venue is the Stardust Lounge. Typically, there are two seatings for the theatrical, musical or comedic productions each evening. The Stardust Lounge can accommodate approximately 1000 guests.
The Sky Club Casino is open while the ship is "At Sea." You will find popular table games, including Black Jack, Craps, Let It Ride, Poker and Roulette. You will also find lots of Slot Machines and Video Poker. Just a reminder, you must be 18 years of age to enter the casino.
Norwegian Sky has several pools and spa tubs onboard. Deck 12 is home to the Main Pool and five spa tubs. Splashes Kid's Pool is located on Deck 12. If you have been onboard, drop us a line and tell us about the deck scene, service, availability of lounge chairs and other helpful information.

Norwegian Sky's Body Waves Fitness Center is located on Deck 11. You can exercise on elliptical trainers, treadmills and stationary bikes. There are also weight training machines and free-weights available. They also offer a number of classes.
