Shore Excursions are segmented by Activity Level (1-3), Duration and Price. Passengers tell us they like the Shore Excursions portion of NCL's website for the following reasons:

Norwegian Gem has almost 1200 cabins onboard. You can choose from an Inside, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite. When selecting a cabin, make sure you know which public areas are near, above and below your cabin. Everyone's tastes are different, but it's best not to be surprised when you get onboard.

Norwegian Cruise Line does not allow passengers to bring alcoholic beverages onboard the ship. We hear from past travelers that it's not even worth trying to bring your own onboard. Alcohol purchased in Norwegian Gem's duty free or in port will also be held until the end of your trip.

Norwegian Gem features numerous bars & lounges. Whether you are looking for a quiet drink or a place to meet up with friends for the evening, the choices are extensive. Here are some of the most popular spots onboard the ship:
Norwegian Gem's main entertainment venue is the three-level Stardust Theater. Typically, there are two seatings for the theatrical, musical or comedic productions each evening. The Stardust Theater can accommodate approximately 1000 guests.
The Gem Club Casino is open while the ship is "At Sea." You will find popular table games, including Black Jack, Craps, Let It Ride, Poker and Roulette. You will also find lots of Slot Machines and Video Poker. Just a reminder, you must be 18 years of age to enter the casino.

Norwegian Gem's Body Waves Fitness Center is located on Deck 12. You can exercise on elliptical trainers, treadmills and stationary bikes. There are also weight training machines and free-weights available. They also offer a number of classes.
