 Norwegian Dawn entered service in 2002. The ship is 965 feet in length, has eleven passenger decks and an impressive atrium. With a capacity over 2200, the ship has approximately 2.0 passengers per crew member.
Norwegian Dawn's colorful exterior artwork depicts the Statue of Liberty, which the ship regularly sails past when leaving New York Harbor en route to Bermuda and the Caribbean.

 Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has a fleet of 11 cruise ships. NCL, which is based in Miami has long been an innovator in the cruise line industry and is widely known for its famous slogan Freestyle Cruising™, which refers to the company's decision to abandon set dining times and seating assignments. The Freestyle Cruising™ concept has been extended to other aspects of ship board life and is very popular with NCL's loyal customer base.  Norwegian Cruise Line offers passengers a diverse menu of shore excursions through its website, which enables passengers to search by Destination (Caribbean, Alaska, etc.) and specific Port. Shore Excursions are segmented by Activity Level (1-3), Duration and Price. Passengers tell us they like the Shore Excursions portion of NCL's website for the following reasons:

 Norwegian Dawn has over 1000 cabins onboard. You can choose from an Inside, Ocean View, Balcony or Suite. When selecting a cabin, make sure you know which public areas are near, above and below your cabin. Everyone's tastes are different, but it's best not to be surprised when you get onboard.
- Suites: 283 - 5750 (Garden Villa Suite) sq. ft. with balcony
- Balcony: 166 sq. ft. with balcony
- Ocean View: 159 sq. ft. with a picture window or porthole
- Inside: 142 sq. ft.

 Norwegian Cruise Line does not allow passengers to bring alcoholic beverages onboard the ship. We hear from past travelers that it's not even worth trying to bring your own onboard. Alcohol purchased in Norwegian Dawn's duty free or in port will also be held until the end of your trip.
A reminder, the legal drinking age onboard Norwegian Dawn is 21 years of age.

 Norwegian Dawn's main entertainment venue is the three-level Stardust Theater. Typically, there are two seatings for the theatrical, musical or comedic productions each evening. The Stardust Theater can accommodate approximately 1000 guests.

 The Dawn Club Casino is open while the ship is "At Sea." You will find popular table games, including Black Jack, Craps, Let It Ride, Poker and Roulette. You will also find lots of Slot Machines and Video Poker. Just a reminder, you must be 18 years of age to enter the casino.
Typically, there will be slot tournaments organized by the casino staff while you are onboard.

 Norwegian Dawn has several pools onboard. Deck 12 is home to the Oasis Pool and the T-Rex Kid's Pool. There are several spa tubs onboard as well as an indoor lap pool located on Deck 11.  Norwegian Dawn's El Dorado Fitness Center is located on Deck 12. You can exercise on elliptical trainers, treadmills and stationary bikes. There are also weight training machines and free-weights available. They also offer a number of classes.
There is a certified trainer on duty if you need help or want a personalized fitness program. You will find men's & women's sauna and steam rooms where you can relax after your workout.
