What a fabulous venue for my first trip to Europe! We booked a cove balcony because I love being closer to the water. Magic is a huge ship and holds about 4,000 guests. Our cruise was booked to capacity but it didn't feel crowded at all (well, maybe just when standing in line at the wok!) Being such a port-intensive itinerary we didn't have as much time to enjoy the ship itself as I would have liked, but we did make it to the Red Frog Pub and the Cucina del Capitano, both of which were so different and fun in their unique way. We rode both of the water slides and enjoyed the whirlpools as well, lost money in the casinos and just generally had a blast. The decor on the Magic is much more subdued (dare I say tasteful?) than other Carnival ships. It had more of a tropical feel to it than glitzy Vegas style. I enjoyed this ship so much that I have another cove balcony booked on her in March and can't wait to sail again! |
